Netflix is far and away the worst app on my Apple TV, but it works fine on other devices I use. I don't know if they just can't figure it out, or what, but I actively avoid it sometimes because I don't want to deal with the lag and unresponsiveness Netflix freezes, is unresponsive, or gets stuck loading. From the Apple TV home screen, highlight the Netflix app. Press and hold in the center of the touchpad until the Netflix icon starts to shake. Sometimes it's better than others, but quite often we'll just turn off Netflix and watch Hulu or Prime instead. We've been having this issue for 4 or 5 months now. Once a show or movie is playing it's fine for us. Our issue is slow response when browsing for something to watch.
